Mediaocean seeks a Level Two Support Engineer within our Global Platforms Department. Our ideal candidate is interested in supporting SaaS products and can execute specialized tasks to support our production software. This includes: working on an enterprise web application; and troubleshooting and investigating issues relayed by L1 Support. Our L2 Support Engineer should also be able to monitor the application to remain aware of problems and identify their cause. We’re looking for recent graduates with minimal experience, a strong interest in scripting, and an aptitude for creative problem-solving.
 
Responsibilities will include:
Troubleshooting issues by going through the log files
Writing complex SQL queries
Responding quickly and intelligently to production issues
 
Who you are:
Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field
0-1 years of experience
Possess a strong interest in Unix Shell scripting (RHEL or Ubuntu) along with database knowledge
An eagerness to learn and utilize new technology
Excellent communication and analytical skills are needed to maintain software and discuss issues.
