Our Solutions Engineers play a technical customer facing role, bringing deep technical skills to aid customer conversions. Solution Engineers work very closely with multiple teams - sales, solution architecture, product, and engineering - and serve as a vital product advocate in front of prospects and the wider WSO2 community.
As part of this role, your focus will be on the technical pre-sale function. You’ll work closely with the Account Manager and Solution Architect to support prospects and assist in converting them to happy customers. You’ll engage in on-site and off-site PoCs, presentations, demos, and solution whiteboarding to promote customer conversions. You’ll engage in product presentations, demonstrations, and architecture and solution whiteboarding for prospects. You’ll work closely with the product teams to build extensions and components for the existing products and contribute them back to the main code base. You’ll also assist in marketing by conducting workshops and webinars around specialized product areas. This is a customer facing role that requires travel to customer locations up to around 30% of the time, based on business needs.
What We're Looking For:
Excellent engineering and development skills - minimum of 2 years development experience.
Knowledge of emerging technologies.
Experience with solutions engineering a bonus but not a must.
Development experience with API Gateways and middleware a bonus.
Exceptional presentation and communications capabilities and the ability to present to a highly skilled and experienced audience including architects.
The passion to learn new technologies and a desire to tackle hard technical problems.
Bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
